Application Developer - C# - Winforms - Window Forms - GUI Development - Front Office - RDBMS
C# Front-end application developers with an interest in Equity Derivatives to work on Equity Derivatives Market Making, Sales analytics and booking tools for the flow business.
The successful candidates will work closely with the business to deliver enhancements to the main pricing and sales tools used by the Equity Derivatives Flow desks globally. The work will be a mixture of new development, re-development and enhancements of existing GUI applications.
Essential: Core C#, Windows Forms, distributed software development, multi-threaded development. Experience working on large software systems. Good analytical/problem solving skills. Pro-active, self-motivated. Unit testing.
Desirable: Java, other programming languages. Experience working in a front-office environment.
Part of the Equity Derivatives Group, the team works closely with the business, providing pricing tools for the Flow derivatives Traders and Marketers.
- Work directly with the business and/or other technology teams to articulate new technology requirements and solve business problems
- Develop specific enhancements and/or build new applications to fulfil business objectives related to new business requirements
- Work closely with other technology teams to ensure the changes are made if those changes are required in other systems
- Ensure technology solutions meet requirements, are robust and supportable
- Where requested, define the development plan and milestones and ensure delivery in line with plan
- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the quality of delivered solutions
- Document release procedures and Support notes for your products
- Provide support for any issues encountered by business users in daily usage of your application
- Pro-actively identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
