Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides technical support to customer groups with respect to applications computing technologies. Writes design specifications based on customers business needs. Codes, tests and debugs existing business applications to ensure optimal use of computing systems; participates in implementing new applications to improve information processing on an ongoing basis. Qualifications: Required technical skills: Java, XML, Web Services, ESB, Servlets, SQL, JDBC, us of Eclipse tool and Junit. Three+ years of full time experience developing J2EE applications using Java. Prior experience working on enterprise level projects. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of J2EE architecture. Knowledge of WebSphere Portal or WebSphere Content Management is a plus. Education equivalent to a two year degree in an information technology related discipline, or the equivalent in related work experience. Manager is looking for: 3+ yrs enterprise Java experience Experience with Web Services Experience with SQL Experience/skills with: XML, Web Services, ESB, Servlets, SQL, JDBC, us of Eclipse tool and Junit *Experience with WebSphere Portal or WebSphere Content Management (WCM) strongly preferred (but not required) Salary range $53K to $85K (rollover salary) 6 month contract to hire opportunity Only local candidates will be considered as no relocation or per diem is available.
