Position Summary
Semiconductor Innovation Engineer

This highly creative role is key to implementing systematic improvement methods in a 300mm wafer High Volume semiconductor fab. Responsible for review and improvement of factory and site wide systems, methods and processes looking for gaps in performance, execution, accountability and ownership. Responsibilities also include analysis of manufacturing and engineering performance data from multiple equipment types across multiple factories. This analysis involves discernment and interpretation of data from typical factory metrics such as utilization, productivity, efficiency, throughput, stop loss sources of waste and variation across daily, weekly and monthly horizons. Solid writing and verbal skills are required to communicate the results of the analysis as well as recommendations for improvement actions to peers, managers, and executives. Effective teamwork is required as the role involves working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT Systems departments. Strong organizational skills are needed as well as being creative and improvement minded. A strong candidate must demonstrate ability to turn data into a measurement of a problem, communicate and organize a team effort to resolve it, and measure the benefit of those actions.

Background/Experience

BS Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Systems or related engineering REQUIRED.

Minimum 3 Years Semiconductor Fab Experience strongly preferred or 5 years in a production environment required. This is not an entry-level position.

Ability to deliver analysis and web-based or excel tools to unit part customers providing a collaborative solution to problems and general improvements.

Advanced Excel skills required. SQL/VBA/.Net basics preferred.

Lean/ Six Sigma exposure is a plus.

Working knowledge of 5S, TPM and Lean Manufacturing is desired.

Strong Data Analysis Skills (basic statistics, trends, variation)

Demonstration of excellent Communication Skills - written and verbal

Flexible and Team Oriented

More experienced candidates should show results obtained through project involvement and/or ownership.
