APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

We are a top national manufacturing company in search of a highly motivated and talented Application Developer at our Illinois facility! This is an immediate need for us and an exciting opportunity, so apply today!

DUTIES
•Consults with users to gain an understanding of desired functionality.
•Makes recommendations for additional system enhancements/ modifications.
•Analyzes current and new programming languages, hardware and software, to identify possible system applications.
•Writes new and/or modifies existing program code and/or job control languages.
•Documents program code, job processes and program modifications.
•Develops training manuals and programs, and provides training to users.
•Responds to applications system problems and makes necessary corrections and/or modifications to resolve problems.
•Assists with support of current software applications as well as troubleshooting of hardware/software problems

REQUIREMENTS
•Direct experience with modern application architectures, program development, methodologies and tools; such as: MS SQL, HTML, PHP, FileMaker Pro/Server, ODBC, Visual Studio
•Expert level knowledge and experience in application integration with enterprise-level applications
•Database design, implementation, maintenance, security and performance tuning using Flat File, FileMaker, and MS SQL databases.
•Ability to provide general troubleshooting support of Mac / PC / Windows Embedded or Windows Mobile operating systems
•Knowledge of Business Basic BBx / BBj programming platform a plus
• Working knowledge of UNIX / Linux / Mac OS X / Windows Operating Systems

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
•6-8 years of experience in applications development
•Experience developing large and complex, PHP-based web applications
•Experience developing web-based applications and interfaces for company extranets business operations

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
