Position Overview:
We are a leading Chicago software company seeking an Application Security Architect who's excited to work in a challenging environment, with the latest, cutting-edge technology.
The Application Security Architect will work on complex, enterprise-scale projects focusing on the application security and identity management aspects of those projects. This position requires an individual with a strong knowledge of application security in both B2B and B2C applications. Experience with Java and .Net is desirable. The position will work on a variety of projects including applications that are part of CCC’s web-based and SOA-based product suite, as well as exciting innovation projects including proofs of concept, prototypes, and due diligence on new technology. This position will be viewed as a thought leader in the organization in regards to technology, especially in state-of-the-art application security and identity management trends. They will work closely with enterprise architects, development teams and with IT/Operations staff. Staying up to date on the latest technology and trying it out is second nature to the individual seeking this position.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate in a team of highly motivated individuals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instructions; a self-starter.
- 10+ years experience developing web-based B2B and/or B2C applications.
- 2+ years architecting/designing web-based B2B and/or B2C applications.
- Experience with LDAP.
- Identity management and federated identity management.
- Experience with SAML implementations.
- Experience with security testing approaches, such as penetration testing, etc.
- Experience with enterprise messaging systems.
- Experience with web application architectures.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Characteristics:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Specific security concerns with mobile applications.
- Specific security concerns with cloud computing environments.
- Experience in enterprise application deployment and integration.
- Experience in transactional, multi-threaded applications.
- Experience in message-based applications.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Spring Framework.
- JSF and UI toolkits such as GWT and jQuery.
- XML, XSL.
- Oracle Identity Management Suite.
- Insurance or Automobile Repair Industry knowledge.
