Engineering Safety Supervisor Job in Leeds LS19 7TU, Yorkshire UK

Reporting to the General Manager - Operational Safety, the Engineering Safety Supervisor will be responsible for the development of the company’s safety management system within Engineering and Maintenance. You will manage all Engineering related safety reports through the Jet2.com aviation quality database, investigating all relevant Engineering related incidents and developing risk assessments for hazards and incidents.

This dynamic and challenging role has a focus on report writing, data management and the modification of processes and procedures. Working autonomously, it will be your responsibility to promote best practice and aid the development of Jet2.com's 'Just Reporting Culture'. This will include the development of Engineering team members through training in risk assessment and safety reporting. You will have the desire and passion to champion the management and development of relevant Jet2.com Engineering safety processes and procedures.

An aviation background within Engineering is needed, with experience of aircraft maintenance, reliability and projects being preferred. Current or previous working knowledge of commercial aircraft is required and experience with Boeing aircraft would be highly regarded. It is a prerequisite that you have a high level of interest and enthusiasm for safety, with proven experience conducting investigations around safety and airworthiness.

The position is based permanently at Leeds Bradford International Airport, however travel both domestic and international will form a key function of the role.
