A major financial services organisation is looking to recruit an application support / production support analyst with strong technical skills to join their London based team. You will be responsible for second line monitoring and support of my client's electronic trading and automated systems.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join an established organisation with over twenty office globally situated in the most prominent financial cities. My client is in a period of growth on the back of a strong year in 2012.
As an Application support / production support analyst - SQL, UNIX, Linux, Java, financial services, electronic trading- your responsibilities will include:
* Identifying issues, root cause analysis, resolutions, communication and change management
* Triage and quickly resolve production incidents
* On-call support 24x7 for responding to production issues
* Analyse applications processes, log files, database structures and records to identify risk to the production environment
* Lead the execution of change management and scheduled releases including documentation
To be considered for this role you must have the following skills and experience:
* UNIX/Linux scripting skills
* Experience with Java development - although this role will not involve coding
* SQL database skills
* 5+ years of relevant application/production support experience
* Strong decision making and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
You will be required to cover a range of shifts between 6.00am and 6.00pm at my client's offices in the City. You will be the link between the business users, L1 support and the development teams and will be required to resolve the majority of issues to the production environment.
This is a fantastic change to gain financial service experience or progress your skills in financial services support. You will work with major electronic trading systems and gain valuable experience in this domain.
