My client is a well established global asset manager and institutional asset consultant. Its asset consulting division requires a 2ic to act as a division and technical leader. This division provides manager research and full asset allocation advice to its clients and differentiates itself from competitors by giving a much greater domestic perspective to local clients.
Reporting to the head of the division your Sydney based role will be broad and include: acting as a mentor to at least 3 junior staff; driving strategic asset allocation advice to your institutional clients; conducting macroeconomic and capital market research; detailed manager research for an asset class that you have preference/strength in; investigating innovative investment approaches to improve portfolio performance.
To be considered you must have a fund manager research background in the local market and come with more than 7 years experience appropriate to manager research and/or strategic asset allocation. You will also be able to demonstrate a background in mentoring/leading staff and senior level client facing experience.
