Application Support Analyst
About the role:
We are seeking a strong Application Support Analyst (Java/J2EE) with strong technical skills to join our busy technology operations team that support our growing WRAP business. The MAS business has been one of Macquarie's key success stories experiencing significant growth year on year. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to have the opportunity to step up within the Operations space and demonstrate their leadership skills as well as give guidance to more Junior members of the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as the point of contact with a co-located business across all of the WRAP Business
- Monitor business critical applications and be pro-active in finding solutions to issues/incidents
- Build relationships quickly with our WRAP business and be able to work closely across technology and business teams.
- Be involved in operations related projects like Infrastructure and Software Upgrades
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have previous Application Support experience as well as being passionate about operations/support with strong technical knowledge in Java/J2EE as well related web application servers (JBoss/Weblogic). In addition you will posses strong Unix and SQL scripting experience.
Excellent problem solving skills and an ability to multi task
- Fantastic communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience of working in a ITIL environment
- The ability to operate independently, to be proactive, and able to interact with stakeholders across all levels.
- Flexibility to able to take the on-call support and weekend work needed in a busy support position
