Application Support Analyst – Fund Manager

My client is a leading fund manager based in London. An opportunity has come up to join their front office support team as an Application Support Analyst. This is a fantastic chance for a very pro-active and motivated individual to further their career in a large fund manager.

Responsibilities:
• Working with external brokers to enable traders to trade over FIX protocol.
• Support various trading desks including equities, fixed income and Foreign Exchange using an in house OMS system.
• Monitor batch jobs and data feeds using support tools such as Autosys and if necessary troubleshooting and escalating.
• Managing Major Incident Management (MIM’s) processes for production issues through to resolutions.
• Carrying out problem analysis into root causes of incidents raised by associates in the organisation.

Requirements:
• Good SQL and UNIX skills.
• Background knowledge of Equities or Fixed Income.
• Previous experience working within a financial services environment.
• An extremely pro-active and ambitious attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
