Technical Audit Manager

Working for a reputable financial organisation based n the Midlands, my client are seeking to appoint a Technical Audit Manager to join their Internal Audit Department.

The role of internal audit is to provide an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organisations operations.
It helps the business accomplish its objectives by bringing a systemic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

The audit plan is drawn
up following the setting of the Group’s objectives for that year and following discussions with the Board, Senior Management Group and Heads of Business functions. Therefore, the focus and the business areas to be audited may vary from year to year.

Key Skills:
•Ability to identify/assess risk and provide actions/solutions to negate/minimise the risks
•Ability to analyse and critically evaluate data
•Demonstrate effective challenging, listening, fact finding and recording skills
•Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally at all levels to influence management, exercising diplomacy when appropriate
•Produce factually accurate draft reports

The appointed individual will be a qualified accountant/Internal Auditor holding ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CMIIA qualifications.
