APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST recruitment

IT is at the heart of sustaining business advantage and providing market differentiation. There has been significant investment in leading edge infrastructure and the establishment of a shared services environment to facilitate the implementation of bank wide systems.

An Application Support Analyst is required to join the team who support core business applications bank wide. These systems include treasury, property finance, human resources and finance including SAP/GL, although the initial focus of this role will be on HR systems. The appointee will provide application support to business users on application queries and system enhancements. They will investigate issues, raising and prioritising system faults and progressing these with the appropriate vendor or in-house development team. Maintaining fault logs and producing reports on support activity, managing system configuration changes, maintaining security profiles and user access rights along with being involved in new system implementations including test planning and user acceptance testing.

Candidates should have a good educational background and experience in an application support role ideally supporting HR systems. This experience could either be in an IT or HR environment. An ability to write basic database queries in SQL would be useful, accuracy in logging and tracking support calls, issues analysis and resolution and a structured approach to problem solving are requirements for the role.
