Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an Application/Product Engineer for the Fort Wayne,IN location. This role will be expected to be the technical liaison working with major HVAC customers to develop and qualify existing and new 42/48 Frame PSC motors into our customers' applications. They would be responsible for learning customer applications to establish tests and procedures to qualify our PSC products; including application, air flow, and reliability test needs. Also, they will work closely with new product development project teams to help define and assure customers' CTQ's are being met. This individual will generate and drive product improvement ideas and cost out projects. They will work with our manufacturing and plant quality teams for support on product issues and changes. They will review manufacturing capability and field failure data to verify and improve delivered product quality and performance. Also, they will work with global engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications:

-Customer Centric.

-Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

-Able to work with a global team to support NA customers.

-Evident enthusiasm, adaptability, initiative, creativity, ownership, and problem solving skills.

- Strong interpersonnel oral and written presentation and communication skills.

-Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Qualifications:

-Six Sigma trained, experience with statistical analysis, and Green Belt Certified.

-1- 5 years experience with product design and/ or application of fractional or small integral HP AC motors.

-Application knowledge or design experience with electronically driven motors.

- Project Leadership experience, with demonstrated leadership ability.
