This position supports revenue growth and retention within the Asia Pacific region by providing the sales team pre- and post- sales support, including taking ownership of all technical and data issues that arise, and providing onsite and remote client training. This also includes providing on-site, written or phone product support for clients, specifically in the area of Enterprise Solutions product utilization, ensuring that the client receives maximum value and benefit.
Accountabilities
- Act as a product specialist and assist sales by performing installations, template-building, query-building, data research, training and support to new and prospective clients.
- Install Enterprise Solutions products at client sites, including connecting/configuring hardware, installing/configuring software, ensuring that a client’s operating and network software is properly configured to function with our products, and interfacing with client technical support staff as needed.
- Provide continuous support to clients in the use of Enterprise Solutions products, ensuring that their specific data and application needs are addressed and that they receive maximum value from their use of those products.
- Obtaining and organizing information about each client’s application, their hardware/software/network configuration, and keeping records of installation and support activities to ensure that a knowledge base of success/shortfall is maintained as a resource for future activities.
- Gather intelligence and communicate internally to identify opportunities to contribute to revenue retention and growth. Present feedback on product needs to Product Development, data teams, and other relevant departments.
Qualifications
- BA / BS degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or equivalent experience is required. CFA charterholder/candidate a plus.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services marketplace.
- A strong understanding of fundamental data and financial investment concepts is required.
- Familiarity with industry-leading financial data and delivery platforms.
- Highly proficient in Excel; VBA knowledge a plus.
- Experience with operating system configuration (Windows, UNIX/Linux).
- Understands FTP protocols and firewall proxy settings.
- Experience with SQL programming and RDBMS configuration and/or administration (SQL server, Oracle) a plus.
- Formal training and/or experience in personal computer diagnostics, hardware/software problem-solving techniques (in both local network environments), and support processes.
- Excellent communication, training and presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel.Fluent in English;
- Asian languages (Japanese, Chinese, or Korean) a plus.
