Role

To provide analysis and support relating to the Coric, Revport and Cadis systems within the GFS business environment. The person filling this role will be responsible for interacting with various business areas within GFS to address urgent issues and ongoing changes relating to these systems, providing business and solution analysis and coordinating the resulting development effort.  The role will require good knowledge of how these systems work and the business areas they support.  In addition, the applicant will need to have good SQL (preferably ORACLE) skills in order to troubleshoot issues and facilitate testing.  General knowledge of Investment Operations Outsourcing would also be an advantage to provide context in which these systems are used.

General Duties

Issues Management

• Pro-active issue definition

• Issue tracking and status reporting

• Managing issue prioritisation alongside the development of change requests

• Managing the identification of impact of issues against the GFS Systems Architecture

• Owning issues to resolution

• Testing, training and roll out of issue fixes

• Raising vendor issues and managing the delivery of fixes against vendor SLAs

• Identification and reporting of issue trends

• Coordinating system and system job restarts where necessary

Change Management

• Work with the Client Change Management Team to understand and define client change requests

• Where necessary, define and initiate projects across the GFS Applications Architecture

• Work with the business users to expand change requests into business requirements

• Work with the technical developers and vendors to agree workable technical designs

• Obtain and coordinate the cost of development and implementation effort

• Data definition and data dictionary updates

• Support the development process

• Liaise with vendors and manage vendor delivery against pre-agreed timetables and budgets

• Testing, training and roll out of new change functionality

• Report regularly on change request statuses

Application Specific Duties

Coric

• Dashboards creation and amendment

• Data block creation and amendment, to include custom data

• Maintenance of data layers

• Document warehouse feasibility assessment estimate

• Creation and amendment of folders and searches

• Production control feasibility assessment estimate

• Creation and amendment of calendars, schedules, clients and report types

• Best practice oversight, including the review of report production cycles and enforcing delivery of recommended changes and standards

• Identification and documentation of warehouse issues

• System status monitoring, including automated alerts control panel

• System performance monitoring and reporting including down time monitoring

• Obsolete report monitoring

Revport

• Definition of new invoice template requirements

• Supporting the development testing and roll-out of invoice template changes

• Supporting business users in the set-up and testing of new management fees

• Supporting business users in the set-up and testing of new performance fees

• Creation and maintenance of Revport Custom Rules

• Supporting the set up, testing and implementation of new clients in Revport including configuration changes

• Providing Revport expertise around the support of fee data delivery to clients

• Maintaining Revport security groups according to business user role requirements

Cadis

• Best practice oversight, including the review of interface production cycles and enforcing delivery of recommended changes and standards

• System status monitoring, including automated alerts control panel

• System performance monitoring and reporting including down time monitoring

• Maintenance of data layers and tables

Candidates should have the following Skills / Experience

• Experience of supporting at least one of Cadis, Coric or Revport

• The ability to be able to understand how application systems are used within a business context

• Experience of analysis, documentation and implementation of critical business solutions, utilising many technologies, over tight business defined time-scales utilising common software development life cycle methodologies

• Analytical and problem solving skills

• Numerical skills

• Articulate and communicative, able to interface to many levels from analyst to managing director

• A proactive and self motivated attitude is a vital part of this role

• A flexible approach to work hours is a must, as the business operates between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 in each region

• SQL and database knowledge

• Knowledge of Jaspersoft's iReports would be an advantage
