Takes Leadership role in development, coordination monitoring of wound care program, works to improve clinical outcomes
Establishes Standards of care based on evidence-based practice, and clinical competencies to meet patient needs
Develops training programs to promote staff clinical expertise
Provides consultation to all inpatient services for complex wounds, ostomy, and incontinence patients according to wound consult guidelines and WOCN standards

Qualifications
3-5 years experience as a wound, ostomy and continence nurse
Knowledge and clinical experience in staging, treating documenting wounds, ostomies, continence issues
Knowledge experience in Regulatory requirements and processes for maintaining an in-hospital wound and ostomy program
Knowledge and experience with collection, analysis and submission of data
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Master's Degree in Nursing
Current State of CT Advanced Practice Nursing License
WOCN Certification
