The Area Director’s responsibility overview; Financial, operational, business development and clinical oversight of 20 facilities in Arizona and Nevada . Involvement with regulatory activities affecting our industry. Must demonstrate the ability to meet and exceed established business plans.

The Area Director is responsible for efficient and profitable
management of operations. This position is also responsible for
marketing in the region. The Area Director monitors the
standards of clinical services being delivered and maintained in all programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Oversees management of all area operations.
2. Supervises the Program Manager, Senior Program Manger, Clinical Specialist and
office support personnel.
3. Monitors the standard of clinical services being delivered and maintained in all
programs.
4. Reviews strategic plans with senior management to achieve the goals and ensures that policies and procedures of the company are
consistently followed.
5. Conducts Program Manager meetings and other meetings as necessary.
6. Assumes responsibility for marketing services within
the assigned area.
7. Accepts responsibility for meeting budgetary goals for the assigned area.
8. Assumes responsibility for financial PL for the assigned area.
9. Conducts marketing activity in order to generate new business.
10. Assumes responsibility for revenue generation and expense control.
11. Assumes responsibility for delivery of clinical services.
12. Assumes responsibility for Area staff turnover and retention.
13. Assumes responsibility and participates in Area corporate integrity investigations.
14. Supports Program Manager’s in personnel management.
15. Assumes responsibility for terminating therapy staff.
16. Assumes responsibility for the annual performance evaluation of all direct reports.
17. Develops and maintains relationships with customers and payors.
18. Approves staffing levels and the use of purchased services.
19. Assures new contracts are initiated according to standards.
20. Participates in senior management meetings.
21. Provides discipline specific coverage as needed.
22. Performs other related duties as required.

Must have 5 years of middle management multisite contract management; 5 years of P and L experience to include strategic planning and analysis, budget preparation. A verifiable track record in new business development is required. Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, email programs, internet research and a thorough understanding of the State regulatory environment for SNF’s and rehabilitation agencies are also essential.

The Area Director must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation
discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology), along with a minimum of five years experience in
rehabilitation, two of which have been in management and administrative.
