The AS Deputy/Senior Network Manager provides in depth technical and business support to the Global Network Management team in order to meet operating efficiencies that are aligned to corporate and functional business plans. Understanding the structure and modes of operation of national securities markets, market entities, and the Bank's subcustodians, monitoring and understanding changes in the structure and modes of operation of these entities, and communicating appropriately the impact of any changes on the Bank and on the Bank's servicing of its clients. As a result of comprehensive understanding of the above has authority to review and signing-off market related documentation for internal and external publication. Escalation point and problem solver for select operational/service issues with subcustodians and for limited relationship issues. Negotiate and manage relationships with network of subcustodians. Support/escalation to negotiation of service levels, contracts and tariffs with subcustodians. Provide the members of the teams expertise, business and general market knowledge, escalation point, decision support, coaching, in the specific domain of Network Management in order to meet and exceed client and business expectations and coordination of individual action plans, communication to/from management, allocation of resources. Client interaction/marketing efforts: Co-ordinate the provision of high quality services to internal and external clients ensuring effective resolution and maintenance of an in-depth understanding of client expectations so that client satisfaction and service excellence can be continuously enhanced. Identify and cultivate expanded business potential opportunities with existing clients through regular client interaction and assist the Product Area and the Client Management organization in responding to new business opportunities, in developing new products, as well as performing competitive analysis and positioning of service providers. This includes presentations to prospect clients, completing RFPs, attending client due diligence visits, participating to regular phone presentations to clients Act as a Network Manager for a few markets and is expected to: Articulate the Bank s opinions, approach and service requirements to the Bank's subcustodians and to other market entities and industry forums. Update in a complete, accurate and timely manner the Bank's documentation for both clients/ operations and tracking tools; Manage the relationship with the Bank's actual and prospective subcustodians; act as a high level resource for operational and on more general network management issues. Work closely with Legal/Compliance/Risk Management/operations/client groups and clients, on the selection process and subsequent management of the appointed sub-custodian to ensure all objectives are met. In the absence and/or in support of the Regional Manager Global Network/Group Manager, assists on marketing efforts with ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, at a level consistent with delivering presentations to clients and prospect; provides feedback during the mid term reviews and performance appraisals of the Network Managers in the Unit. . Must posses expert level of understanding of the structure and modes of operation of national securities markets, market entities, and the Bank's subcustodians, monitoring and understanding changes in the structure and modes of operation of these entities, and communicating appropriately the impact of any changes on the Bank and on the Bank's servicing of its clients. Must be able to identify and interpret marketplace trends. Must also posses a keen awareness and a through understanding of the compliance, legal and risk policies/requirements of the Bank. He/she must be able to draw upon own knowledge plus other references and sources in order to present logical solutions to complex problems at the agent bank and market level. Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are required for this position. This position has significant client contact as well as Legal/Compliance and Risk Management responsibilities during the selection process and subsequent management of the appointed sub-custodian. Breadth of impact effects entire business. Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The candidate should have strong people coaching and development skills. He/she must be comfortable working and presenting directly to clients, investment advisors and senior management. Must be able to translate technical local market jargon into a standard and simplified communication material.

Qualifications

College/University Degree. MBA preferred. Minimum experience is 10 yrs of custody industry/financial services and agent banking and/or Network experience. Coaching experience is helpful. Perferred experience is 12 yrs plus of custody industry/financial services and agent banking and/or Network experience. Three plus years of coaching experience helpful.
