Asia Cash Equities Client Services Supervisor — Senior Associate/VP recruitment
Department Position Summary:
J.P. Morgan is a global leader in providing a wide range of equities solutions to investor and issuer clients.
The Cash Equities team executes trades for and markets research ideas to clients, and offers worldwide execution capabilities across all exchanges and electronic networks. The business also offers program and special equity trading services.
The Hong Kong Cash Equity Middle Office has the responsibilities for supporting the sales and traders from operational client servicing perspectives.
Key Accountabilities / Major Responsibilities:
We are specifically seeking people who have knowledge in trade support and client service with at least 3 years of experience.
The role involves the following functions:
Daily Tasks -
- Perform post-execution trade support, reconciliation control functions, including but not limited to position reconciliation, control metrics MIS.
- Reconciliation between front office, middle office and back office system to ensure data capture accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure front office trading is in compliance with rules and regulations in various local jurisdictions.
- Reference data maintenance
Products Covered -
- Equities products like Shares, DRs, Convertible bonds
Skills
- Strong proficiency with using PC software such as Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up systems architecture easily. Knowledge of MS VBA and SQL would be an asset.
- Previous exposure to equity products would be preferred. A mathematics or finance background would be an asset.
- Fluent English language skills (both verbal and written)
- Minimum 3 years proven experience in an investment banking environment, preferably middle office/product control/client service experience
- Solid business judgments
- Ability to prioritize
Formal Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience (degree in finance, economics, accounting, etc)
Other Requirements:
- This individual will have extensive contact with traders, sales, sales-traders and priority clients on a daily basis and should be able to withstand the pressures of working in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to handle high level multiple tasking is essential - ensuring that the risk of each transaction is correctly recorded, maintain a high level of client service, whilst at all times being aware of controls and policies and ensuring adherence to them by the team and the business.
- The candidate needs flexibility to adapt to continually changing environment and be prepared to take on responsibility whilst being willing to absorb and share their knowledge continuously.
