Assessment Managers / Financial Appraisal Managers recruitment

Assessment Managers / Financial Appraisal Managers

The Health and Social Care Act 2012 makes changes to the way health care is regulated, to strengthen the way patients’ interests are protected and promoted. Monitor’s role will change significantly as we take on a number of new responsibilities as the sector regulator for health care, so this is a very exciting time to join us.

As well as taking on our new role, we will continue to assess NHS trusts for foundation trust status, and to ensure that the boards of NHS foundation trusts focus on good leadership and governance.

The number of NHS trusts we will assess for foundation trust status is increasing and we are looking to recruit three additional Assessment Managers to support us in delivering our exciting and challenging agenda. In this vital role you will regularly meet boards of NHS trusts, use a due diligence methodology to assess the viability of their organisations for foundation trust status and present your findings to Monitor’s Board.

Desired skills experience

You will need to hold an accountancy qualification and, ideally, have experience of transaction services, MA, financial or performance management, corporate governance or recovery, health care, regulation or audit.
