Asset and Liability Management – Analyst recruitment

As part of the on going expansion of the Asset and Liability functions, the business requires another capable individual to join at an analyst level. This is a great opportunity to begin a career in an Asset management environment.
Reporting to the head of Balance Sheet Management your responsibilities will include:
- Running and maintaining pricing models for Annuity products
- Preparation of monthly reports on sale volumes and rates
- Operation and maintenance of liquidity forecast models
- Allocation of trades to portfolios based on liquidity and criteria
- Preparation of liquidity reports
Hedging repsonsibilities will include
- currency and interest exposures hedging
- development of models and metrics to enhance the quantification of interest rate, liquidity and foreign currency exposures;
- Execution of interest rate and currency hedges
To be a successful candidate for this position you must be a strong independent thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills. You will need to be able to think on your feet and be able to communicate effectively sometimes under pressure.
It is essential that you have at least some theoretical experience of treasury instruments, market economics and asset and liability management. You may have gained this through work experience or specialised study either way expect to be tested.
We are looking for a person who may have up to 2 years related work experience in a similar function, we also welcome applications from recent graduates in relevant disciplines.
As a prerequisite you will have a degree in a subject that will demonstrate quantitative skills - a high level of numeracy and an ability to apply your problem solving skills are an important requirement for this position.
