The European Product Development team is responsible for developing JPMorgan Asset Management's European-domiciled fund ranges which comprise more than 18 umbrella structures, 200 funds, and 1,000 active share classes, which are registered in 30 countries globally with AUM in excess of $200 billion.
Current product development activity is focused on the Luxembourg SICAVs and FCPs within both UCITS and non-UCITS wrappers.
European Product Development is part of the "Product Services" group within JPMorgan - which comprises of all those functions which are directly involved in the development of, and implementation of new funds and segregated investment mandates.
Key activities of the 16 member team include:Scope prioritized product ideas which include both new product ideas and enhancements/changes to existing fundsIn conjunction with the other functions in Product Services:bringing new funds to market, managing delivery across all functions within the businessmanaging the delivery of changes to existing funds across all functions within the businessWorking with Investment Desks, Business and Product Analysis and Distribution to identify new product ideas and potential changes to existing fundsDefine product standards, e.g. naming and pricing conventions, share class strategyManage the product policy agenda, e.g. capacity management, naming conventionsThe Head of Product Development Europe is a senior role, reporting to the Head of Product Services.
Main responsibilities and duties

Qualifications
Essential experienceExtensive experience in the asset management industry with particular expertise in the development and delivery of investment management productsCredibility and proven ability to engage with investors and country and channel heads of distribution to discuss and consider product ideasExpert understanding of the product development lifecycle and proven track record of managing people and delivering new products and product changes within a large, highly complex, cross-functional environmentExpert knowledge of the European asset management competitor landscape, product range strengths and weaknesses by competitorProven ability to assess a firm's current competitive position versus its aspiration and to inform its product development agenda and strategyExpert understanding of securities and instruments, portfolio management techniques, investment processes, and investment management productsExpert knowledge of all fund and related structures domiciled or sold into Europe, the regulatory environment in which they operate, and that environment's implications to product designEssential skillsExcellent strategic influencing and interpersonal skills, comfort in working with people at all levels across all functions
