A new and exciting job opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager to join a global company providing financial services specialising in Investment Banking, Wealth Asset Management.
A Business Manager provides business-related services and support to an organization which can either be of administrative, logistical, analytical or quality control nature with emphasis on ensuring smooth day to day business operation and the implementation and development of business-wide action plans and key initiatives.
Main responsibilities:
• Serves as primary aide to the respective business and coordinates the supporting units, i.e. manages the interfaces to HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Controlling
• Aligns projects or manages a portfolio of projects, ensures efficient use of technology, in conjunction with AMO Change Management
• Evaluates and mitigates risks, adhering to financial targets
• Instigates change initiatives that drive the business forward, aligned with global strategy Key Deliverables
• Coordination of and contribution to the development of a business strategy and business plan for their area of responsibility, including business reviews
• Participation in risk assessments including the optimization of financial and human resources.
AMO Business Managers are expected to attend the following meetings:
• AMOMC (fortnightly / ad-hoc extended when needed)
• OMM (fortnightly / formal and informal)
• AMO Risk Meeting (monthly)
• Group Ops Business Managers meeting
• Group Ops People Management Committee
Requirements
• Knowledge of Investment Management
• Basic knowledge of financial products, processing and control
• High level of numeracy
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Experience in creating and tracking progress against budgets/business plans (Financial and Headcount)
• Able to interface credibly with senior (MD) individuals and also with members of their teams
Desirable Skills/Attributes
• In depth knowledge of Asset Management products including Derivatives
• Experience working in a Finance or related function
