Asset Management Project Manager
Main Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a strategic project within a Group programme is appropriately planned, managed and delivered in a timely and cost effective manner
The project will focus on liquidity and trade related FX functions, therefore the ideal candidate will have knowledge and practical experience in the administration processing of Money Market instruments and Foreign Exchange. Knowledge of settlements across instrument types, and Funds Administration would also be an advantage. The candidate will be internal client focused as they will be working closely with Managers throughout the business. The candidate will ideally have previous experience of managing teams.
Primary areas of Responsibility
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope and assign individual responsibilities.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Prepare and review deliverables, enforce project standards and ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties
The candidate should possess the following qualities:
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Flexibility in responding to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, investors, and other departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Qualifications / Technical knowledge and Experience required:
Degree Educated preferred, IMC certificate preferred
