Asset Management Sales Associate
Responsibilities:
1) Sales process
- Make outbound calls to introduce the business and secure meetings
- Prospecting meeting preparation and follow-up
- Attendance at industry conferences/seminars
- Attendance at, and involvement in, prospecting meetings
- Liaising with Investment Professionals, Sales Managers and with other internal departments
- Maintaining information on CRM system
- Coordinate and customization of investment commentary and thought pieces to send to prospects to create interest and build relationships
2) Strategic market planning
- Market research
- Developing and exploring new areas for business development
- Business research and mapping
- Involvement in developing market events strategy
- Preparation of management reports to reflect new business effort
- Liaison with various industry organisations
3) Internal projects Departmental participation
Knowledge and experience:
- Experience of cold calling, attracting and retaining clients
- Experience of prospecting to and working with GFIs in the UK is essential
- Relevant and similar experience within an asset manager or a GFI
- Experience working with and prospecting to UK Wealth Managers
- Experience of presenting to clients, consultants, prospects or colleagues
- Excellent investment knowledge across equities and fixed income
- Graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Related professional exams or studying towards CFA
