Asset Management – Senior Institutional Sales Manager recruitment

The Position:

You will be primarily focused on the Institutional / Wholesale markets, whilst working closely with the rest of the team.

Responsibilities:
• Play a significant role in the further growth of the firm’s activities in the Asia region .
• Implement successful direct / Wholesale sales effort which targets relevant institutions/ third parties in Asia; identifying new business opportunities and driving transactions through to the close.
• Effectively communicate the investment style, products and performance to prospective clients / distribution parties / PBs.
• Develop strong relationships with the relevant institutions, via a strategic program of calls, meetings and representation at industry events.
• Ensure a consistent positioning of the various expertise’s by coordinating effectively with the Headquarters.
• Work closely with counterparts in the Investment Management Group to provide market intelligence and feedback and to identify new product opportunities via regular meetings and informal contacts.

The successful candidate will be a tenacious and highly energetic individual who is driven by results. He or she will have the entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to demonstrate a strong track record in investment sales and marketing. Given the breadth of the product portfolio, the successful candidate will have also demonstrated an appetite and ability to understand sophisticated investment strategies and be able to present these to prospective clients in a clear and accomplished style.

• Senior institutional/Wholesale coverage role at another investment/ asset management company
• Strong understanding of investment vehicles.
• Extensive Institutional network of contacts with major institutions in Asia.
• Excellent communication skills - Mandarin would also be advantageous.

• Degree and/or an MBA or MS degree with an emphasis on finance
• CFA is desirable
