Asset Manager
This prestigious asset management house seeks a high calibre individual with excellent maritime knowledge. The successful candidate will have sailed as either a Master or Chief Engineer (tanker experience strongly preferred) and will also have extensive experience ashore in a management role within the Maritime industry. They will ideally be working as a Fleet Manager, Technical Manager or Director for multiple vessel types including container ships, tankers and bulkers.
This is a key role within the asset management team with responsibility for ongoing technical and operational management and expansion of the fleet. This will include but is not limited to oversight of vessel performance, voyage review, bunker review, budgetary review, insurance, crewing, repair planning and dry dock management. Strong communication skills are essential as regular liaison with a wide variety of third parties is a key part of the role and the incumbent will be expected to prepare presentation materials and reports to senior management following physical inspections of vessels for due diligence purposes.
Excellent knowledge of vessel technical management procedures and survey experience will be complemented by knowledge of classification society rules and international maritime regulations. Applicants will demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen, a flexible approach and the proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
