Assistant Accountant
Are you a part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)? Do you have financial services experience from the Back or Middle Office? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a prestigious family office for a long term contract?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a small wealth management company in Mayfair. The company are going through a major implementation of new trading software and need an Assistant Accountant to assist in this migration as well as picking up some of the day to day accounting duties.
As an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the following
- Trading system integration and testing
- Reconciliation of Trial Balance between old and new systems
- Posting journals and intercompany journals
- Producing accounts up to Trial Balance
- Daily swap interest accrual verification
- Assist the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Collateral and dividend reporting
The ideal person for this role will be of graduate calibre with accounting experience in financial services. You will be part qualified or equivalent and have knowledge of Back or Middle Office functions and processes. You should be analytical and have good reconciliation skills. An understanding of equities and equity derivatives is highly desirable.
