Our client, a foundation located in the CBD, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to come on board for a 12 month maternity leave contract and work between Finance, Admin and IT. They are looking for a confident, enthusiastic individual who is committed to delivering outstanding financial reporting and IT support to the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking, experienced systems accountant who is keen to be part of change and challenge themselves.

On a day-to-day basis, this Assistant Accountant will be responsible for monthly reporting processes including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Reconciliations. They will also be assisting with the preparation of budget, monthly reporting and process improvements, payroll, events and administration support, and ad hoc projects as required by management among a number of other tasks.

To be successful you will have prior experience as an Assistant Accountant with knowledge of MYOB. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with advanced analytical skills and a strong desire to succeed. You will have a strong understanding of Excel and Access Databases. You will be timely, accurate, and well presented. We are looking for an outgoing and dynamic individual who is able to work both autonomously and in a team environment. A stable work history is essential for this position as well as excellent communication skills.
