Position Description
Assistant Controller / Lead Accountant
Vaco Richmond is assisting a prestigious client in Norfolk, VA with their search for a Assistant Controller / Lead Accountant. Qualified candidates must possess high college GPAs and approximately 5-8 years of either large corporation accounting or public accounting experience. Candidates must also have excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as a strong drive to work within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare and review journal entries
-Prepare and review financial statements
-SEC reporting support
-GAAP research
-Various special projects
Absolute Requirements:
-Accounting or Finance Degree
-5+ years appropriate experience
-CPA or MBA is a plus
Compensation / Benefits:
-18 days of vacation
-10 days of sick leave (paid out if not used)
-Overtime (time a half) above 40 hours
