A leading healthcare provider based in the centre of Exeter is looking for an assistant corporate accountant for a 6 month maternity contract.
Working at a company wide level, the role is based primarily on the assistance with extensive reporting procedures, including income/expense variance monitoring, develop financial forecasting models by liaising with various internal stakeholders, assist in implementing changes advised by regulatory body, provide budget setting files and information to finance and non-finance staff, monthly reporting, and liaison with Freedom of Information team. You will also be required to carry out other ad hoc duties, and deputise for the Corporate Accountant as required.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding, and experience of the technical side of accounts reporting, and advanced Excel skills to include V-Lookups and Pivot Tables, with the ability to work efficiently on their own initiative. This position sits between the management and financial sides of accounts, and an exposure to both would be highly advantageous, as would experience working within the NHS.
