Kaplan Career Institute in Broomall is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Education. As the Assistant Director of Education you will be challenged to make a difference by leveraging your outstanding people-skills, problem-solving ability and passion for student success. The Assistant Director of Education serves as the academic assistant to the Director of Education. As Assistant Director of Education you will be responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of our educational goals and outcomes, including managing and maintaining our student retention process, instructor observation and development and working with the Director of Education on special projects.
Job duties may include:
• Leading positive student retention activities that include, but are not limited to: contacting absent students, troubleshooting with high-risk students, new student orientation, coordinating departmental student academic advising, providing a beginning point of contact for student concerns
• Assisting in the training, evaluating, and retaining qualified faculty and assist Program Chairs in hiring new faculty members. Support the completion of annual faculty development plans, faculty evaluations, and assessment of development plans. Coordinate efforts with Director of Education to ensure all faculty members understand job expectations and receive annual ongoing performance evaluations.
• Working to ensure department compliance with state Department of Education, accreditation, and company regulations
• Acting as manager of the Education Department in the absence of the Director of Education
