Assistant Manager – Financial Control, Wholesale Banking recruitment

The role will principally involve ensuring that there is a robust control environment in place, that all control processes are performed in a timely and efficient manner, and that all variances are investigated and resolved within agreed timescales.

Exposure to products will include: ABS/MBS, commercial paper, credit derivatives, FX swaps/options, FRA

Principle Responsibilities

• Completion of reconciliation processes from source systems to GL, including investigation into and resolution of all variances

• Responsibility for the static and mappings into the GL

• Take ownership of various balance sheet accounts

• Produce MI as required

• Liaising daily with various areas of Treasury, notably Financial Systems Support, Operations and Middle Office.

• Ad hoc project work as required by Management

• To carry out control and review procedures as specified by management

Experience:

• Qualified/or finalist Accountant (or overseas equivalent)

• Banking industry experience

• Knowledge of banking products or in a product control role

• Strong communication skills
