Assistant Manager / Manager of Underwriting recruitment

RESPONSIBILITY

Perform underwriting duties for large sum assured cases or with complicated medical and Life impairments and approve cases to protect the company
Provide technical advice to claims department during claims assessment to enable prompt payment of all legitimate claims and guard against invalid claims
Negotiate with reinsurers on various reinsured cases to agree on decisions and work standards acceptable to the company
Be able to handle enquires from Sales and other departments and to carry out underwriting seminars for sales forces to enhance communication
Provide training to underwriters on technical aspects and conceptual underwriting knowledge
Regularly review the administration procedures and provide advice on the areas of New Business and Underwriting to facilitate new product development and system enhancements

REQUIREMENTS

You will be expected to have at least 5 – 10 years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience with some advisory experience
Also it will be preferred that you have a FLMI, ACS Qualification in Underwriting
It is essential that you have both good Oral and Written English and Chinese
