The Assistant Manager supports the Regional Business Banking frontline banking team, who manages a set of customers and acts as the first point of contact for Business customers. This is a sales and service role, where you will proactively identify and refer sale opportunities to Agribusiness Managers and product partners. You will also have in-depth consultative conversations with customers, which will ultimately increase the share of wallet of the customer base as well as maximise customer value and loyalty.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Sales and customer service focus, and have a strong drive to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to excel in a target-driven environment, as you will be measured on your ability to identify and escalate cross-sell/new business opportunities to peers in other teams.
- Experience within banking and finance
- Good understanding of credit/financial analysis fundamentals
- A tertiary qualification or current studies in a financial/business related field is preferred, but not a formal prerequisite
- Work experience from a retail branch network would also be well regarded.
