Scholastic is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Game Development . Candidates should be advised this is a staff position with an end date, which means during the time of your assignment you will be eligible for all benefits afforded to staff employees.
The Assistant Project Manager - Game Development will help in designing and managing online games that allow readers to play a part in the story. This position is a mix between game design and project management. You would join the team to help in all areas of the creation and management of gaming, social, and reading experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Document plans for new development and create wireframe mock-ups of game designs
• Create a database of plot and game info
• Create work tickets in our project management system, monitor ongoing progress, and field questions from developers
• Answer questions escalated from customer service and update FAQs
• Coordinate with marketing and editorial to update the website through our CMS and admin tools
• Help design and test new games
Qualifications:
This is not a programming position, but applicants must have the necessary grounding and interest in website development to be able to collaborate with the development team. Applicants should have strong interest in games, especially PC or Console roleplaying games. Applicants should be highly organized, a proactive communicator, task master and a deadline driven individual.
Experience in any of the following would be a bonus but is not required:
