Your Role

 

It is your mission to be support the overall management of the Vans Store in Antwerp

 

 

Your Job

 

 

·         Work with shop team to deliver excellent customer service, high retail standards thereby helping to maximise sales and profit

·         Welcome customers in a polite, friendly helpful manner by providing information on the product and efficient and quick service

·         Assist Shop Manager in merchandising products in accordance with corporate guidelines

·         Assist Shop Manager in statistical analysis on sales data compared (past/present seasons)

·         Merchandise presentation, display and appropriate communication

·         Manage any stock discrepancies or quality issues

·         Assist Shop Manager in categorising processed stock, organising stored stock and maintaining storage procedures and stock levels, implementing a stock rotation system

·         Check stock delivery details, ensuring correct stock has been delivered, price up the items and put stock on shelves in stock room

·         Verify in the system the goods availability of the warehouse

·         Check the items on their arrival (right colour, size, textile, packaging, etc…)

·         Assist Shop Manager in completing any relevant routine administration and ensure that relevant weekly paperwork is returned on time

·         Manage cash flow and cash operator

·         Assist Shop Manager in making work assignments, reviewing the work of lower level employees and assisting in training new personnel

·         Maintain and develop a current knowledge of the collections, events and local activities

·         Ensure openings and closing procedures are correctly followed

·         Ensure all relevant Health and Safety policies are applied and take action to prevent, or report, potential hazards

·         Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in the shop and stock processing area

  

Profile

 

·         Minimum a High School Degree;

·          A minimum experience of 5 years in a similar position

·         Experience in operating a cash register and electronic payment systems

·         Experience in managing all relevant administration papers and reports

·          Friendly, reliable, trustworthy and honest

·         Ability to interact with the public with a friendly and helpful approach

·         Time flexible and open-minded

·         Customer oriented and high standard of customer care skills

·         High standard of personal appearance, smart and well presented

·         Good numeric skills

·         Creative flair for developing product displays

·         Effective oral communication skills

·         Able to work under strong pressure

·         Good organisational skills  

·         Excellent information systems knowledge  

·         Proficiency in written and spoken French and English;

·         Affiliation with Vans and the Vans Way of lif
