The Client
Our client is a leading foreign bank within the local and global banking sectors. They offer a broad range of banking and financial services tailored to meet a wide spectrum of needs at different levels.
The Position
- Conduct on-site/off-site credit research on certain the bank’s customers (or business groups) for the purpose of examining future credit policy on respective companies.
- Get accurate grasp of credit risk on customers in charge, and review obligor grades without delay.
- Advise Credit Department for amendment of Obligor Grades and discuss on the rationale in reaching the final conclusion for Obligor Grade of respective company.
- Detect the bank’s customers whose credit risk is likely to be heightened, and raise the alarm to Business Units, Credit Departments and other related departments (including the bank’s management board members, if necessary) for protecting the bank’s exposure.
- Grasp updated trend in industry under coverage and provide relevant information which could affect the bank
- Recognise change of semi-macro economic environment in Asian countries in charge, and provide relevant information which could have impact on risk profiles of corporations and industries
- Support Business Units which are seeking business opportunities with certain companies by researching on business environment in industries, research on the companies’ competitiveness prospects, etc.
- Develop Early Warning Models or business solution method for customers.
The Candidate
- 4 to 5 years experience in the banking industry with 1 to 2 years solid research background
- Strong industry focus in Telecommunication, Technology, Media or Leisure is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical with strong business acumen and excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as a good team player.
