Assistant Vice President, Integrated Application Monitoring, Technology and Operations recruitment
The Technology and Operations team designs, develops and maintains computer application systems to support banking operations and provide innovative IT solutions, while harnessing new technologies to meet corporate objectives. In addition, the team centralizes, standardizes and regionalizes like-activities to achieve economies of scale and improve/re-engineer end-to-end processes to achieve world-class standards.
Responsibilities
- Work with respective application manager on application monitoring; performance trend, resource utilization report requirement
- Review and endorse all design documentation to ensure integrated monitoring across all systems
- Propose and present clear and well designed alternate solutions within realistic considerations to avoid downtime
- Produce clear and well defined application monitoring guidelines
- Work closely with stakeholders on infrastructure monitoring
- Govern application monitoring delivery in accordance to Bank guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in IT system design (being application, infrastructure) in a banking environment
- Independent, energetic, self-motivated individual with good communication skills
- Strong analysis and design skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Practical knowledge on Infrastructure design
- Practical experience on IBM mainframe, Open system, Unix and Wintel Platform
- Knowledge in middle-ware like IBM Websphere MQ, Database, Connect Direct, SSH preferred
- Project management skills will be an advantage
