Assistant Vice President of Financial Crime

Our client, a Global Bank is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Financial Crime to assist in providing financial crime oversight across the business as well as implementing and supporting changes to policies, processes and systems. The role is to support and assist with all day-to-day functions and operations in respect to Financial Crime. To be actively be involved in the planning, preparation and completion of AML, sanction controls, financial crime-related and ABC controls, to remain compliant and meet the requirements of all appropriate regulations and legislation. The role will involve, assessing regulatory change; implementing regulatory requirements and guidance. Skills and experience in drafting policies and procedures, and report writing.
To be actively involved in:
Acting as the Bank's main liaison with law enforcement, including project and product launches, providing support and guidance, paying particular attention to Financial Crime-related implications and present possible solutions.
- Take responsibility for the design and implementation of new Financial Crime Policies and Procedures as required in order to meet the requirements of new/updated regulations/legislation and embed these within the Bank.
- Engage positively and professionally with all staff, including pro-actively developing appropriate relationships with managers, so that amongst other things there is a good understanding of the business and the support required from the financial crime team.
- Providing day-to-day supervisory support to those staff in the Financial Crime team and be available to resolve any issues that may arise while carrying out their daily tasks.
- Participate in the planning, preparation and delivery of AML and financial-crime awareness-related training.
