Assistant Vice President, Treasury Operations (Foreign Exchange & Money Market) recruitment
Principal Accountabilities
We require a senior Treasury Operations Executive in Global Market Operations with a strong understanding of treasury markets and products, with expertise in core operating and trade processing platforms in order to evaluate and optimise our current trade processing environment. The role requires the job holder to have strong day-to-day trade Corporate Interbank FXMM processing knowledge. The incumbent is required to handle exceptions, commercial judgment to identify anomalies and unauthorized activities undertaken by dealers that might cause damage to the bank either from losses or violation of rules or regulation.
- Ensure that control procedures are adhered to in the processing of all FXMM transactions.
- Ensure optimum level of service is provided in a timely fashion to all customers, both external and internal, on a consistent basis.
- Provide accurate and timely response (value added) to customer enquiries.
- Evaluate special request from customer and conduct feasibility study with IT on system enhancement for quality service if it is within the Group control parameters.
- Achieve strong customer feedback on strategic contribution and operational support.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the trade processing flows and best practices within the FXMM markets.
- Keep abreast with the relevant exchange and regulatory guidelines governing the products
- Understand and demonstrate strong knowledge of products and processes in order to recommend and achieve optimal operational effectiveness.
- Analyse both mandatory change requests and changes to the current business flows, identifying the impact control changes required
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills in the development of staff
- Build high performing and high calibre team including objective setting and regular meetings.
- Define recruitment requirements, introduce career management and succession planning
Skill/Attributes
- Degree in finance or business studies with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge in FX MM treasury products; other cross products knowledge would be an advantage.
- Experience in the trade processing function within foreign exchange and money market environment
- Familiar with processing, operational and settlement risks
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment across Asia
- A team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
