Overview : Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, manages student recruitment activities which include recruiting, hiring, motivating and supervising staff; ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures; meeting enrollment goals and objectives for each term; and profitably managing the designated Region. Provides leadership in the execution of the business plan, the control of expenses and other managerial functions, as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Assists in the development, direction and coordination of student recruitment activities within a Region in order to accomplish defined team goals and objectives. In conjunction with the Director of Admissions, ensures that objectives, goals, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions produce desired student recruitment results, consistent with the overall mission and strategic plan for the Department of Enrollment Management. Participates in the development and execution of both short-term and long-term student recruitment strategy in the field to ensure the Company's growth and profitability objectives and implements approved programs. Recruits and hires new staff, which includes interviewing prospects and obtaining approval from the Director of Admissions on hiring decisions. Collaborates in directing the staffing, training, and performance evaluations of Advisors within a Region. Serves as a mentor to other Advisors in order to train and develop them into top performing team members. Participates in the development of an annual student recruitment plan for the Region and endeavors to ensure the achievement of the approved plan. Develops and prepares for approval the Region's policies and programs and, as directed, conducts audits and reviews results to ensure conformance with same. Participates in the establishment and maintenance of an effective system of communication throughout the Region and ensures that Advisors know and understand their responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities. Oversees to ensure that all Recruitment operations are in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations along with the Company's policies and procedures. Delegates responsibilities to Advisors to ensure that policies and decisions are properly discharged. Carries out supervisory responsibilities which include the following: planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures that Advisors are trained to perform their jobs effectively and in a team-oriented manner. Ensures that morale of Advisors is positive and provides for a viable organization in order to meet its commitments. Provides personal leadership that encourages Advisors productivity and responsiveness to the needs of the Region. Effectively trains new Advisors and provides motivation to achieve and maintain a high level of productivity and morale. Creates a climate that is proactive and personally is involved in helping staff achieve their recruiting goals. Conducts individual meetings in order to motivate, encourage and discuss key issues and concerns with Advisors. Builds, maintains and encourages productive working relationships with Advisors. Stimulates employees to achieve desired results through positive attitudes and methods. Handles related duties as assigned.
