Summary
Reporting into a Senior Credit officer the associate analyst will be play an integral role in the rating of financial institutions. Progession into a mid level analyst role is expected within 18-24 months of commencing the role.
Responsiblities
- Assisting senior analysts with analysis, modeling, as well as the preparation of publications and rating committee packages
- Keeping abreast and advising senior analysts of potential credit implications of developments across financial institutions
- Support senior analysts by gathering data, preparing graphs, etc in readiness for rating committee presentation and research publications
- Interacting with financial market participants and issuers on rating related matters
- Support analysts in external reaching events such as conferences and seminars
- Taking a collaborative approach with peers that helps them be as capable, efficient and motivated as possible
Qualifications Prerequisites
- Strong, robust understanding of financial institutions and accounting
- At least 2 years' professional experience in credit or financial analysis
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Economics, Commerce or other relevant discipline
- Must exhibit initiative and the ability to work independently autonomously
- Meticulous with ability and determination to work to tight deadlines
