Part of Deutsche Bank's Corporate Banking Securities division - the leading investment banking operation in Europe by revenues, Corporate Finance is split into Investment Banking Coverage and Advisory and Global Capital Markets groups.
Corporate Finance's activities include MA, debt and equity issuance, and capital markets coverage of large and medium-sized corporations. Regional and industry-focused teams deliver the entire range of financial products and services.
Overview
Corporate Finance coverage team targeting Deutsche Bank’s strategic partners. The goal of the group is to identify revenue opportunities for CBS.
The group works closely with Senior Client Executives, especially heads of verticals as well as senior Procurement and Technology personnel to originate deals. The group’s objectives are to identify and convert strategic partners (including vendors and investments) into the Bank’s clients.
The candidates primary responsibility is to support the group in identifying revenue opportunities by conducting analyses of various data, helping assist in developing the strategy and creating materials required for pitching new business.
Detailed responsibilities
· Client coverage
The candidate will assist the team in managing a portfolio of clients. This would include client interaction; developing pitch books and identifying potential acquisitions; managing DB’s spend with the client and providing them opportunities to win DB’s business.
· Assist Group in all aspects of the business model (including Strategy Client Targeting)
As this is a small group, the candidate will play a major role in primary research, coverage of certain industry sectors and production of high profile deliverables. The candidate will also help to develop the group’s strategy and create pitches. The role provides an excellent opportunity to learn the complete cycle of a deal and as well as an excellent opportunity to interact with clients.
Professional
· BA required
· 3+ years of financial analysis experience required
Technical
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong understanding of Investment Banking coverage groups and a strong understanding of Corporate Finance
· Working knowledge of Transaction Banking and Markets products desired
· Exhibits strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
· Possesses strong skills in data analysis tools especially MS Excel
