Associate Director

 

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years examination experience in safety and soundness, capital markets, asset/liability management (ALM), liquidity and interest rate risk as it relates to institutions' investment policies,  and will be currently or previously employed as an examiner (NCUA, FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve), or a JD with strong experience in banking regulation.

Within this role your responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:

*  Researching laws and regulations related to credit unions, banks and thrifts, and staying current in all regulatory developments and issues facing the credit union industry.

* Advising clients on procedures and policies necessary to comply with industry regulations.

* Consult with clients on ALM risk management and review and create individualized policies to meet client's regulatory and economic needs, ie: ALM and Interest Rate Risk Policy; Liquidity Management Policy; Contingency Funding Plan; Concentration Risk Policy; Investment Policy; Loan Participation Policy; Allowance for Loan and Lease Loss Policy; Troubled Debt Restructuring and Loan Modification Policy.

* Assist in conducting educational sessions for clients and staff on relevant regulatory issues.

* Write articles for industry periodicals and clients.

* Respond to examiner questions and issues

 

You must possess:

* BA

* 4-7 years experience as a safety and soundness examiner with the NCUA, OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, or as a state banking/credit union examiner, or JD with strong in banking regulation.

* Ability to write policies and training materials

* Strong internet research and project management skills.

* Ability to understand and explain complex financial strategies, analytics and materials.

* Ability to analyze ALM analytics and depository institution balance sheets and calculate figures and amounts such as ratios, interest, proportions and percentages.
