Position Requirements:
Fitch Ratings is seeking an experienced analyst for our Public Finance team in the New York office to be responsible for evaluating and following state credits in the State Ratings Group.

Responsibilities
* Gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
* Writing press releases, publishing research reports, making presentations to internal rating committees
* Keeping abreast of specific and general state credit developments
* Building and maintaining strong professional relationships and participating in industry events
* Public speaking and communicating with the press are also important aspects of the position

Requirements:
* Candidate will ideally possess a graduate degree and have at least 3 to 5 years of related experience/background in Public Finance; government experience desirable
* Must be a self-motivated, inquisitive professional with strong credit and spreadsheet analysis skills
* Must possess excellent writing and communication skills and have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Knowledge of standard business software is essential
