Associate Director Energy Products recruitment

As part of the CME Energy team, the Associate Director, Energy Products will be responsible for sales, education and marketing new and current NYMEX products and services for various levels of customers with a primary focus on Natural Gas and Power products . He/she will conduct sales calls with customers and speak at education/seminar events and build/execute with the Energy Team an education and sales strategy. This position will assist the Director, Natural Gas and Power Products, in identifying and prioritizing key players and top targets and corresponding opportunities for growth in line with broader CMEG product growth objectives, and develop strategies and tactics to capitalize on the growth opportunities. This position will be located in Houston, Texas.

The Position will be responsible for:

• Offering in-depth knowledge and understanding of futures, options, and derivatives trading strategies in Energy markets.
• Act as a liaison to key industry trade groups and customers. Maintain good relationships with various sales and distribution sales, Energy futures brokerage companies, and vendors.
• Work with product development groups to improve existing products and identify opportunities to expand product suite.
• Scope, design, develop and evaluate a variety of sales initiative focusing on Energy products, and in particular for Natural Gas and Power
• Create presentation or education materials- seminars, whitepaper and tutorials- targeting the commercials/institutions and individual investors
• Educate existing and prospective customers about the benefits and opportunities that trading and clearing of the physical natural gas markets provides to our customer base.
• Assist broker community to help expand our customer base.

Qualifications:

Specific Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of work experience in the Energy specific derivatives/cash trading and/or risk valuation industry with specific experience in the Energy futures markets.

• In-depth understanding and/or experience in the oil, natural gas, gas and/or power industries a plus, particularly in the Natural Gas and Power markets.

• Bachelors Degree with advanced degree preferred

Skills:

• Must have strong team work, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills including representative examples and references for past presentations given.
