ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FINANCE – VETERINARY SCIENCE recruitment

Cluster Finance Business Services (CFBS) provides strategic, financial, project and business plans, advice, analysis, reporting, services and solutions for the faculties of science, agriculture and environment, veterinary science, engineering and information technologies and the Business School.

We currently have an opportunity for a dedicated finance professional to join our team as the Associate Director Finance – Veterinary Science. The overall aim of the position is to provide strategic, commercial and financial advice, performance analysis and support to the Finance Director, Dean, Faculty Executive, Financial Advisory Committee/Centre Directors and other faculty management and staff.

In this role you will form an integral part of the Faculty Executive Committee and be expected to be involved in strategic issues and have commercial acumen. You will also be responsible for leading the faculty finance team, and ensure effective and value added financial services are provided to our internal customers.

An ability to start by June is expected. Previous experience in a university environment or similar will be highly regarded.

Being a maternity leave cover, the position is full-time fixed-term for one year subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new appointees.

Remuneration Package: a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications (including base salary, leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation) will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
