Associate Director – Financial Services Strategy (Integration/Separation) recruitment

Strategy Group - you can help clients create value around deals by providing market, competitor and customer insights.

Responsibilities

We have a need to recruit Associate Directors with a track record of delivering the strategy around Integration and Separation projects. We are seeking outstanding individuals from industry and professional services within the Banking, Insurance and Investment Management sectors. Responsibilities include:

- Financial contribution: winning engagements and generating fees of £1m+ per annum
- Business development: building, commercialising and sustaining relationships with top management team members for the benefit of the Firm as well as acting as an ambassador and role model for the Firm
- Engagement leadership: structuring and leading multiple large, complex workstreams in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
Risk management: identifying and managing risks and ensuring the Firm's frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively
- People development: identifying team member development needs and accelerating development by establishing the appropriate plans and frameworks with particular emphasis on coaching and skills transfer
- Practice development: taking responsibility for several processes and initiatives that are key to scaling the business
- Personal development: participating in the career and skills development infrastructure provided by the Firm and acting as a role model with colleagues and clients by living the values of the Firm

The Person

The candidate must be able to evidence strong skills and a successful track record of design and implementation in developing and implementing strategy or integration or separation plans: In addition the following demonstrated experience, skills and behaviours are required:

- Extensive management experience in industry at blue chip FS organisations, professional services organisations, or a combination of both
- Experience of Integration/Separation projects
- A network of clients
- Consistently generating fees of £1m+ per annum
- Detailed knowledge of business models and operating models in one or more of the investment management, insurance or banking sectors
- Strong personal impact with sophisticated influencing skills
- Evidence of working successfully with top management teams
- Ability to create and implement strategy and change and deliver results, potentially in different countries
- Ability to create, lead and operate in high performing teams
- Evidence of emerging market impact and visibility through thought leadership and public platforms
- Evidence of an emerging network of top management team members in FS organisations which you have commercialised and with whom you have on-going commercial relationships (for candidates from a professional services background)
- Strong financial skills including business planning, opportunity and investment evaluation and benefits tracking
- Ability to perform consistently at a high level under pressure
- Evidence of a relentless approach to the development of others and oneself
- Very strong academic background
