Associate Director- Group Reporting & Control recruitment
Fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant 2-4 years PQE to join our client, one of the worlds leading Global Banking Groups, as an Assistant Director of Financial Reporting and Control, within their Group Finance function. This role allows the sucessful candidate a high level of exposure across the business and visability when dealing with key stakeholders for the bank. There is also an emphasis on decision support and being involved in making key add value decisions for the bank.
Working with Global Retail Banking Finance teams, Group Consolidation Reporting, Investor Relations and Business Performance Management teams to deliver the Group's monthly statutory reporting and quarterly external financial reporting, ensuring we have in place efficient and effective financial reporting processes as part of a best in class finance function.
· Development and delivery of quarterly, interim and year end external financial reporting for the Group working together with Group Consolidation Reporting, Investor Relations and Business Performance Management.
· Responsible for line management aspects for 3 - 4 people in the Group Financial Reporting Control team. Continually develops capabilities to raise the performance bar in the team.
Proactively contribute in assessing Group financial reporting impact of important business decisions to give Clusters and Finance confidence in the decision taken.
Strategic responsibility
· To inputs to the vision and key priorities for the Group Financial Reporting Control team.
· Contribute to decisions within the Group controls and Group Accounting Policies' frameworks. Group Finance and Financial Control strategy and objectives are available but required contribute to defining and implementing policies and procedures for the Group consolidation and reporting.
· Covers a wide range of activities that require evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual and qualitative information in complicated and novel situations such as in response to business transactions, often requiring an innovative approach, based on detailed research.
Owns, builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders. Has a good understanding of customer needs and what they regard as important. Liaises with peer group and shares knowledge and best practice with colleagues and Business.
The ideal candidate will be from a Financial Services background or top tier practice background, be fully qualified ACA or equivalent, with 2-4 years post qualification experience, IFRS accounting knowledge, good interpersonal and relationship management skills, and experience of management.
